General Membership Conditions

NO PRIOR HISTORY OF CANCER
People who have previously been diagnosed with cancer, or are currently being treated for cancer are not eligible to become members of the Cancer Care Program.

Basic Membership Conditions (individual and corporate subscribers)
  • Membership Validity
    • One year membership: the standard membership period is valid for one year upon the payment of the relevant membership fees.
    • If it is revealed that a member was diagnosed with cancer prior to applying to CCP and did not inform CCP accordingly, their membership will be promptly cancelled.
    • Two year membership: members can choose to subscribe for a two year membership instead of the standard one-year membership period, (with CCP’s prior approval and subject to the same terms and conditions) by paying the membership fees for two years in advance.
  • Refund Policy
    • Membership fees are non-refundable.
  • Waiting Period
    • Members can start to benefit from treatment coverage after a specific waiting period, as outlined below:
      Individual:
      Jordanians 6 months waiting period
      Non-Jordanians 9 months waiting period
      Corporate:
      Jordanians 6 months waiting period
      Non-Jordanians 6 months waiting period

Membership Renewal

Individual:
  • Members must contact the Program in order to renew their membership (click here to see where you can renew your membership), pay the membership fees for an additional year, and receive a new membership card.
  • Membership must be renewed on or before the date of expiry of the existing membership. Members have a one-month grace period after the expiry of the existing membership to renew, otherwise a new application form must be submitted and the application will be subject to all rules and conditions applied to first-time applicants such as the waiting period.
  • Members may increase their coverage limit upon the annual membership renewal and the membership fee will be increased accordingly. The coverage limit cannot be increased while the membership agreement is still in effect.
  • Instead of renewing for the standard one-year membership period, members can choose to subscribe for a two-year membership (with CCP’s prior approval and subject to the same terms and conditions) by paying the membership fees for two years in advance.

Corporate:
  • The company must contact CCP in order to renew their membership.
  • CCP will send the company a list of its employees who are currently enrolled in CCP, and it is the responsibility of the company to validate the list before membership renewal.
  • After validation, CCP will charge the company with due amounts for membership renewal.
  • After payment is received, membership cards will be issued to the company to give to its employees.

In the Case of Cancer Diagnosis (individual and corporate subscribers)
  • Members have guaranteed and exclusive cancer coverage and treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), one of the top cancer centers in the region. No other insurance provider in Jordan provides guaranteed treatment at KHCC.
  • Members receiving treatment coverage have the right to keep receiving treatment until the coverage amount is fully consumed, but cannot renew their membership with CCP.
  • CCP covers basic accommodation at the Center. If a patient wishes to stay in upgraded accommodation, he/she must pay the price differential to the Center for this upgrade.
  • CCP covers all examinations or treatment procedures for cancer at the King Hussein Cancer Center. CCP will not cover any expenses incurred by a cancer patient in any facility other than the Center.
  • CCP will provide treatment coverage based on the chosen coverage. Patients can benefit from treatment coverage exclusively at the King Hussein Cancer Center, and for one time only.

CCP Rights and Responsibilities (individual and corporate subscribers)
  • CCP has the right to request medical checkups from any applicant (at his/her own cost) prior to accepting their application.
  • CCP is entitled to refuse any membership applications if proven that the applicant has previously been diagnosed with cancer.
  • CCP is entitled to adjust the membership fees and/or membership conditions outlined in this application upon renewal of membership.
  • CCP will not cover any expenses or procedures for any disease other than cancer.
  • CCP is entitled to cease accepting any new membership applications at any time for any reason and for any period as decided by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation's administration, while retaining the right to renew the membership agreements of existing members.
  • CCP has the right to adjust or cancel the amount of the discount available to non-patient members (for procedures such as X-rays and endoscopies) at any time and without prior notice. This change will be enforced upon the renewal of the membership agreement.
